The Hope Workshop
It’s about creating good feelings!
The Hope Workshop is a chance for people who have been affected by cancer to come together, tell their stories, share resources and laugh. This two and a half hour event uses laughter, improvisation and “the wisdom in the room” to give participants a chance to find meaning, hope and connection in their experience. It was created by author, comedian and cancer survivor Robert Hawke.
Robert Hawke has performed internationally for The Second City Comedy Troupe. He has presented to physicians, nurses, medical students, cancer survivors and their families. He wrote the acclaimed book “Kicking cancer’s Ass: A Lighthearted Guide to the Fight of Your Life” and co-wrote the award-winning “NormVsCancer: a Terminally Funny One Man Show”.
